Ha! Fat folds, don't you love em? No one really feels them but you - the leg rub as you walk or the fold that actually gets in the way when you lean forward. Or how about the fat itch? Call me crazy but fat itches sometimes....or you don't even have to touch the fold, it's there!
Seriously though, that extra fat around the waist is not a good thing. Leads to insulin resistance, some say metabolic syndrome, which can lead to diabetes. Diabetes affects 7% of the US population.......and a child born today has a 50% chance of developing diabetes. That is what scares the heck out of me. Unless we do something quick, gosh - I can't imagine the status of healthcare in 20-30 years.
So, to prevent diabetes - lose weight, exercise (invisible insulin - I'll talk more later about this) and eat right. Eat right (quick summation) = complex carbohydrates, lean protein and heart healthy fats. More about that later too. Feel free to email any questions you might have.
